Objective(s): To conduct site surveys of ten DEW Line Sites in the NWT and one DEW Line Site in the YT for the purposes of providing design protocol and cost estimates to clean up DEW Line Sites; to identify areas that require clean up and monitoring; to evaluate landfill and borrow areas; to identify structures to be demolished.

Project Description: The information gathered at the ten NWT DEW Line Sites will be used to prepare detailed Contract Documents for each site's environmental clean up. During the site visits, the researchers will conduct overall site surveys and identify areas or structures requiring either clean up or demolition. The sites to be visited are Nicholson Pen., Clinton Pt., Cp. Young, Byron Bay, Jenny Lind Isl., Gladman Pt., Pelly Bay, Mackar Inl., Longstaff Bluff and Cp. Hooper.
