Objective(s): to continue the study of the evolution of plants in the very high latitudes and to assemble an extensive collection of fossil plants from northern Canada

Project Description: Dr. Basinger and his research team will continue their study on high latitude floras. They will collect high latitude fossil floras which are proving to be critical to their understanding of the origin of northern temperate floras.
