Project Description: This licence has been issued for the scientific research application No. 5752. This evaluation builds on the work of Dr. Skinner’s team. The objectives of this evaluation are: 1) to explore potential for market improvement, 2) to understand the social impacts of the market, and 3) to examine what value the market brings to the community. This research is community-based, participatory and action-based, as it seeks collaboration and mutual benefit for those involved. The evaluation is community-driven and will produce immediate actionable items for the YKFM. Mixed methods data collection includes surveys with YKFM patrons and vendors, Rapid Market Assessment with patrons, semi-structured interviews with community partners, and a semi-structured discussion group with youth volunteers. Data will be analyzed using descriptive statistics and reflexive thematic analysis.
