Objectif(s): Dillon Consulting Limited has been retained to complete habitat restoration activities at the historic Salmita Mine site at Matthews Lake. The 2003 phase of this project is to conduct baseline aquatic assessments at the Matthews Lake site to identify present fisheries resources and existing habitat conditions. Data obtained from fish sampling/population surveys and lake/stream habitat assessments will be used to develop future habitat restoration design plans for impacted habitat as a result of mining.
