Objective(s): To measure regional & site variability in maximum active layer development and vertical surface movement over permafrost; and to monitor sites over time in order observe trends, perhaps resulting from climatic change.
Project Description: For this on-going study, measurements such as maximum depth of thaw & surface movements recorded after the previous visit will be collected. Monitoring devices will be reset for this season.
