Objective(s): To continue installation of long term thaw depth monitoring stations; to gather proxy data on environmental change in the recent past.
Project Description: The Researcher and his assistant will install active layer monitoring stations at up to eight (8) sites between northern Richards Island and Inuvik. They will sample the ice in and just below the present active layer to study recent change.
