Objective(s): To learn about how the Dene Cultural Institute works and how it documents traditional environmental knowledge for cultural preservation and development of policies relating to sustainable development.
Project Description: The researcher will assist with a variety of Institute activities, including proposal writing and data collection and analysis, in order to better understand how this agency documents traditional environmental knowledge. In addition, the researcher is interested in knowing how traditional knowledge is used toward developing policies for sustainable development.
