Objective(s): To continue to examine the physical processes operating across the ocean-ice-atmosphere interface; to link these processes to both geophysical and biophysical characteristics which can be measured remotely using existing and near-future sensing technologies.

Project Description: The primary objective of the research is to characterize the physical processes of the interaction between sea ice, the ocean and the atmosphere. Monitoring of this interaction is necessary to understanding the impacts of a carbon dioxide (CO2) warming of arctic regions. The researchers will continue to collect data for this long-term study.
