Objective(s): To characterize the physical disturbance regime primarily with side scan sonar to generate ecologically relevant data on disturbance coverage, frequency and intensity; to determine the population and community responses to ice scour, and link patterns of zonation and larger spatial and temporal community mosaics to this disturbance.

Project Description: The researcher and her team will document the intensity of ice scouring by side scan sonar, develop a method for aging ice scour tracks, and study the dynamics of species interactions following ice scour events.
