Objective(s): To continue to explore the relationship between the dependency created by the educational, social welfare and criminal justice systems of the Euro-Canadians and crime among Inuit of the Eastern Arctic community of Iqaluit, Northwest Territories.

Project Description: Mr. Patenaude will continue to examine the nature and extent of social change over time which may have resulted from the imposition of the Euro-Canadian social and criminal justice systems. This study, is independent and separate from Dr. Curt T. Griffith's project: "Crime, Law and Justice Among Inuit in the Baffin Region".
