Objectif(s): To continue the study initiated in 1992; to enhance communication among producers and consumers of country food, public health agencies and scientific researchers on: (1) the presence and nature of contaminants in country food; (2) the risks associated with consumption of said foods; and (3) alternative options and strategies where continued consumption is a significant health risk, in an appropriate cultural and social context.
Description du projet: The researchers will be continuing their interviews with community members on identifying contaminant issues and information needs related to those issues. Interviews will be conducted with a wide range of individuals, including harvesters, elders, women, youth and professionals. An appropriate communication strategy will be developed in an appropriate cultural and social context.
