Objectif(s): To measure changes in densities of collared lemmings over a long time period, including a number of potential population irruptions of three or four years; to gather data on the reproduction, dispersal and sources of mortality in a tundra collared lemming population; to test the hypothesis that lemming pepulation growth and local density are limited by direct predation mortality; to measure the numberical and functional responses of lemming predators to changing lemming densities;

Description du projet: The Researcher and team will continue to study collared lemmings, the most widespread mammaliam herbivore on the Canadian arctic tundra.
