Objectif(s): To determine and document the maximum size of treeline species that has been possible under recent climates by slope and direction; to experimentally determine the success of tree and shrub seedling emergence and growth on different slope and aspects and relate this to the energy input;
Description du projet: The Researcher and his team will seed and plant plots prepared in 1990. They will determine the germination rate, establishment and the annual growth of the seedlings. The measurements will be related to the energy input which influences these microsites.
