Objective(s): to document the history of the Ahiarmiut people of southern Keewatin from 1850-1969 by interviewing people in Eskimo Point and by reviewing library and archival documents available at the Inuit Cultural Institute

Project Description: Mr. Czonka has spent the last two years gathering information in southern archives and museums on the history of the Ahiarmiut. He is returning to Eskimo Point to look at the information available at the Inuit Cultural Institute and to interview elders. He will present a copy of his study to the Inuit Cultural Institute and to the Hamlet Council when it is completed.
