As part of the market analysis a survey will be conducted to evaluate the demand for the offering from the target demographic.

Description du projet: The objectives of the project will be to evaluate the feasibility of the new offering. To determine the feasibility of the project the market, organizational capability, financial implications and strategic alliances will be evaluated. As part of the market analysis a survey will be conducted to evaluate the demand for the offering from the target demographic. To examine the market, descriptive research will be conducted using primary and secondary sources to evaluate the issue. Descriptive research is appropriate in this situation, as the issue is not defined well enough to undertake causal research. Primary data will be conducted through surveys targeting young men ages, 11 – 17 years of age. Surveys will be administered on-line and in paper format if it is determined that access to the Internet is limited for the target group. Secondary data will be obtained from numerous sources including trade publications, government data and a literature review. Although focus groups would be effective they will not be employed due to the dispersed nature of the participants, which would make the costs prohibitive. To research organizational capability Taiga will provide the required information. Taiga will also supply information so that the financial implications can be assessed. In addition to the information Taiga supplies financial implications will also be assessed using secondary research to determine estimated operating costs and projected revenue. Strategic alliances will be assessed using descriptive research. Secondary research will be conducted to evaluate strategic alliances. Secondary research will be conducted first to determine a group of possible strategic alliances. Potential candidates will be researched through professional and industry organizations. In addition, professional service providers as well as organizations in similar industries will be examined. Local people will be used to provide their thoughts and opinions on the proposed program. If it is determined that the program is feasible the program would provide educational opportunities for those attending the program which will in turn help encourage economic benefits in the future. If it is determined that the program is feasible there is also the possibility of jobs being created in the area as the program would be run in the Northwest Territories if deemed feasible. Results will not be communicated directly to individuals or communities in the NWT. The results of the survey will be summarized in an anonymous format in the body of the final report and used as part of the market analysis. The report is a requirement to complete my Masters of Business Administration so a member of Royal Roads University will evaluate the report and the report will be submitted to my client Taiga Adventure Camp. The report is not publicly accessible. If Taiga determines that the offering is feasible it will approach the communities as it sees fit to communicate the availability of the program for young men.
