Tulita District Land Corporation and Parks Canada are working together towards the establishment of the Naat'ihch'oh National Park Reserve. This study will be conducted as part of the work to document traditional and current land use within the NNPR and other areas within the Tulita District. The ultimate goal of the research is to preserve cultural areas and traditional knowledge in the Tulita District. Interviews will be translated and transcribed in North Slavey and English. Tape recorders will be used during the one-on-one interviews with the elders and community members. Communities will be informed of the research through meetings in Tulita and Norman. Newsletters will also be used to communicate the results to the community members. Fieldwork for this study will be conducted from July 11 to December 31, 2008 in Tulita and Norman Wells.
