Objective(s): The purpose of this research is to explore how the Deline Land Corporation can build leadership capacity for the long-term management of Edacho and Sahyoue. Individuals from Deline will be interviewed to understand what leadership opportunities they can envision, what would motivate individuals to participate in a leadership role, and what skills might be needed for such a role. The findings will be compared and contrasted with relevant literature on Aboriginal leadership, cultural landscape management, and leadership capacity building. They will also be compared with information derived from interviews with people who can bring an important perspective to this question. Based on the findings, the Deline Land Corporation will be able to develop a long-term strategy for the management of Edacho and Sahyoue that has an excellent chance of success.
