Objective(s): Golder Associates was contracted on behalf of Grey Wolf Exploration to conduct preliminary baseline studies at Grey Wolf's proposed well sites. The objective of this study is to determine the presence or absence of fish and wildlife in the vicinity of the proposed project site. A literature search for registered archaeological sites within the proposed site is also planned. Information from these surveys will be part of an environmental assessment for the planned drilling project. The objective of the wildlife work is to record wildlife, habitat and wildlife sign in the study area. The proposed aquatic work consists of three components: fish, habitat and water quality. The objective of the fisheries survey is to determine fish species present in water bodies near the proposed well sites. The objective of the water survey is to document baseline water quality from two lakes and two creeks within the proposed project area.

Minnow traps and seine nets will also be used to capture juvenile fish and minnows. Fish will be captured, measured and released unharmed. Water samples will be collected from each lake in the deepest basin. The water will be analyzed for metal content, nutrients, alkalinity, hardness and major ions. Standard limnological parameters will also be collected.
