Objective(s): To research the socio-cultural importance of bison for the communities around Wood Buffalo National Park; the integration of scientific knowledge with traditional knowledge and the involvement of communities in the management of these bison.
Project Description: The researcher will conduct 15 interviews in three communities around Wood Buffalo National Park as part of a study using a systemic methodlogy that includes reviewing official documents and media coverage as well as on site visits.
