Objective(s): To develop a descriptive profile of the factors that motivate Inuit tradesmen to learn trades skills and to complete apprenticeship programs.

Project Description: Four Inuit journeymen will participate in this research. An in depth interview will be conducted with each participant. It will be taped and transcribed. Thematic analysis of transcripts will follow. Supplementary interviews will be held to discuss specific details of the first interview. The final result of this research will be a descriptive profile of the factors that motivate Inuit tradesmen to learn skills and to complete apprenticeship programs.
