Objectif(s): To relay position, dive duration and depth and heart rates of belugas; and to describe the population size and behaviour of belugas.

Description du projet: This is an ongoing study since 1973 and has described the population size and behaviour of belugas. UHF tagged animals have outlined the migratory routes and seasonal movements of the whales. The researcher is now using newly designed tags which are linked by satellite to relay position, dive duration and depth and heart rate of the whales.
