Objective(s): To provide an education and employment profile of Band members; to identify barriers to education, employment and training; to identify current and future labour market conditions in the area; to train a Band member in conducting research; to prepare a plan for improving education and employment levels.
Project Description: This study will provide to Band Council an education and employment needs assessment and a planning document to guide future endeavors aimed at promoting education and employment. Band Council and members will have maximum input into the design of the study and the final plan. Surveys of Band members will be conducted in order to collect information about employment age, high school student needs and opportunities for human resource development.
