Objectif(s): Objectives were to: (1) assess the present status of health-related knowledge skills, attitudes and behaviours of children and youth in the N.W.T. with particular reference to the aboriginal population; and (2) assess the present status of a specific intervention strategy, the N.W.T. School Health Program.

Description du projet: Data on the health knowledge, skills, attitude and behaviours of children and youth will be gathered by using anonymous questionnaires. These questionnaires will be administered through the schools to students in grades 4,5,7,8,10 and 11. Teachers and principals will also be surveyed with regard to the implementation of the NWT School Health program. Researchers from selected communities will be trained to conduct interviews and administrate questionnaires.
