Objective(s): To examine the economic adaptations of a sample of young adults in the Copper Inuit community of Holman with special emphasis on the degree to which young Inuit households are involved in subsistence hunting and traditional food sharing networks.

Project Description: This ethnographic research project is designed to examine the degree to which young Inuit households are involved in traditional subsistence harvesting and how these activities are supplemented by recently introduced wage employment opportunities. The study will utilize participant-observation as well as formal and informal interviews.
