Objective(s): To investigate the extent of ice during the last glaciation, its effects on the displacement of Lake Hazen and the paleoenvironmental record contained in raised and contemporary lake sediments.

Project Description: This study concerns the overall evolution of the Lake Hazen Basin during the last glacial and deglacial cycle. It will emphasize the eastern end of the Lake Hazen Basin where prominent moraine systems exist along with former lacustrine deltas, exposed lake sediments and small lakes suitable for coring.
