Objective(s): To develop a quantitative baseline, using primary data from five Baffin Region communities on the effectiveness of tourism as an aspect of local economic development and to evaluate potential areasss of conflict that may accompany this type of development.
Project Description: A continuing project, the investigations will provide an analytical perspective on aspects of northern tourism important to an understanding of the overall direction of economic development in contemporary Eastern Arctic communities.
