Objective(s): 1) collect systematically all known Inuit geographical names in the Inuit homeland of Nunavut - on land and sea; 2) assure high quality of accuracy of information gathered; 3) process all data and material obtained from the surveys; 4) submit all place names in their correct form to the governmental place names authorities (territorial, provincial or federal and return the information gathered in a form which can be easily used by the general public;

Project Description: The Researcher and team will continue to collect, document, establish and preserve a complete record of all known Inuit geographical names systematically from oral tradition and other existing sources in all Inuit communities throughout the Keewatin District.
