Objective(s): To determine the technical, economic and logistical parameters of char trap technology in the Nettilling Lake Char Fishery.
Project Description: Two char traps of slightly different design and size will be designed, assembled and displayed in the Burwash Bay area of Nettilling Lake. Fish will be harvested and shipped to Iqaluit. Successful char trap technology will be disseminated during follow-up workshops with Baffin fishermen.
