Objectif(s): To continue the work begun in 1978; to survey vegetation and terrain on the south shore of Amadjuak Lake and the operation of a meteorological station there; to install automatic weather stations and bulk precipitation collectors at two locations, one on the southeast side of Amadjuak Lake and the other on the west side of Nettilling Lake; to monitor environmental change in the interior of Baffin Island with the intention to establish a long-term study. Student projects on freshwater invertebrate ecology and permafrost will be conducted as well.
