Objectif(s): To understand how the women who are participating in this research learned their crafts; to explore how this knowledge is/was transferred to them; and to discuss how artisans of a traditional craft impact the community.

Description du projet: The objectives of this research project are: 1. to understand how the women who are participating in this research learned their crafts, 2. to explore how this knowledge is/was transferred to them, 3. to discuss how artisans of a traditional craft impact the community, and 4. to reconnect with the traditional crafts I grew up with and learn from their experiences as artisans. Focus Group. No economic benefits. There is benefit in the social, cultural and educational areas, as the project will discuss traditional crafts in a social setting; it will be a cultural and educational benefit to all the participants and researcher. The participants will be provided with a copy of my research report. The possibility of presentations is being considered. The fieldwork for this study will be conducted from September 15, 2012 to December 31, 2012.
