Objectif(s): This research is for aquatic studies as part of Imperial Oil Resources NWT Limited overall Aquatic Effects Monitoring program. Water samples, suspended sediment samples, and bottom sediment samples will be collected for chemical analysis. Samples will be collected from three locations in the Mackenzie River; an exposure area, located downstream of Norman Wells, a natural seepage-exposed area, located upstream of all discharge locations from the Norman Wells operation; and a reference area, located upstream of Norman Wells and any known natural oil-seep area.
