Objectif(s): This research has two main objectives; 1) to better understand the literacy needs and preferences of NWT seniors; and 2) to make recommendations for more effective literacy supports and services for NWT seniors. This research will provide a snapshot or picture of literacy needs and preferences among this segment of the NWT population. It will examine potential barriers to seniors' participation in literacy activities, and approaches or practices that support participation. A cross section of seniors and senior-serving organizations at the community level will be engaged. Literacy will be considered in all NWT official languages.
