Objectif(s): This research project aims to develop "best-practice" implementation and management guidelines for wood bison recovery projects involving Aboriginal communities. Individuals who are directly involved in existing and proposed wood bison recovery projects (including both Aboriginal community members and government employees) will be interviewed to document their experiences with the wood bison recovery projects with which they are or have been associated. A key focus of this research will be to determine, from the perspective of individuals involved, how and why various wood bison recovery projects have either succeeded or failed in the past, and to identify common factors that might lead to project success or failure.
