Objectif(s): The purpose and goal of the projects is to learn what composes a sense of place for the people of Ft. Smith, NT. How are the rhythms and constraints of the natural environment reflected in peoples sense of place? The research team will attempt to articulate spatial relationships that people in Ft. Smith have with their surroundings.
Description du projet: The researcher will walk throughout the Town of Ft. Smith on foot. Citizens of the town will be requested to participate in an interview to determine their perceptions of their surroundings. Interviews will be video-taped (with the participants permission), or manually recorded. The target goal is to interview 50 persons, although a smaller sample will be sufficient as long as it represents a cross section of the Town's population.
