Objectif(s): Researching the federal government of Canada's residential school system between the years of 1955-57. Will be examining the Schools in Yellowknife, Churchill and Chesterfield. Specifically looking at diet, language, religion, curriculum, clothing, building structures and abuse. I have completed my research of the government files. Will be conducting interviews to facilitate my research.

Description du projet: Plan to interview approximately 15 people in Yellowknife who went to these schools. Interviews will be kept confidential. My research will be explained in detail and permission obtained from individuals who are being asked to provide their input. The Acuns code of ethics for research in the north will be employed. All informants will be shown any information given and asked to approve its use. Nothing will be published without approval. A finished copy of the findings will be made available to all informants.
