Objectif(s): To examine the fluvial geomorphology of the Mackenzie Delta using satellite image data and a geographic informantion system (GIS); to map the lakes, channels and plant communities of the delta; to measure the shape, size, orientation, connectivity and other characteristics of water bodies and plant communities; and to study geomorphological features and processes by morphological and ecological relationships between sediment rate and plant community type.

Description du projet: The collection of the field data is required to collaborate satellite image classifications and interpretations concerning water body measurements, plant community types and sedimentation patterns. Field measurements will include measuring ground distances and recording plant characteristics. Nothing in the field area will be destroyed or removed.
