Objectif(s): To identify the indicators of mental health upon which mental health services are currently based; to document the existing levels of service that are currently available; to identify gaps in existing service and levels of service; to develop options for service delivery; to outline opportunities and constraints of identified options; to make recommendations on the qualifications of the mental health specialist and the types of paraprofessional and community services required.
Description du projet: The overall purpose of the study is to compile the data required to make informed decisions with respect to the hiring of a mental health specialist for the South Slave Region and to design a co-ordinated strategy for improved mental health services. The study is conducted on behalf of a group of social services agencies and is guided by a steering committee that includes representatives from these agencies.
