Description du projet: The researcher will survey the Whale Cove area to determine the types of macroalgae (i.e., seaweed) present. Samples of the seaweed collected will be examined in consultation with Canadian Kelp Resources Ltd. for their economic potential as exotic types of tea. Species that show promise as ingredients in tea products will also be analyzed for the presence of contaminants.
