Objectif(s): To evaluate the effect of education as provided by the classroom teacher and the television media on family life of Inuit living in the hamlet of Hall Beach; to investigate if emphasis on Inuit culture in early schooling and television programming strengthened family relationships;
Description du projet: The Researcher working with the classroom teacher will present two questionnaires to all Grade 7, 8 and 9 students at Atanaarjuat School. The questionnaires will investigate changes in family attitudes which might be attibutable to education and the television media. The first questionnaire will deal with family relationships and the classroom, the second with the influence of television on family life.
