Objectif(s): To define the connections between the opening of the Arctic Ocean during the Cretaceous period, development of a continental margin, major crustal extension and rapid subsidence in the Sverdrup Basin, and voluninous basaltic magmatism;
Description du projet: The Researcher and assistants will investigate the field relations, petrology, mineralogy, geochemistry, and geochronology of magmatic rocks of the northern Canadian Arctic Islands.
