Objectif(s): To determine the spatial and temporal variation in: 1. abundance of Holocene Bowhead whales represented by embedded skeletal elements; 2. population structure; 3. morphological characteristics; 4. taphonomic processes affecting the bowhead whales; 5. chemical composition of the bowhead whale;
Description du projet: The Researcher will record and measure whale bones from naturally stranded bowhead whales. The information will be used to assist in determining the effects of climatic change on bowhead whale populations over the last 10,500 years.
