Objectif(s): This project is an evolutionary study of the plant genus Braya. It is suspected that the Cape Bathurst Peninsula area may have been an important centre of post-glacial dispersal of Braya (and perhaps other plant species) at the end of the Pleistocene. This study will attempt to verify this hypothesis. This work is a follow-up to similar research conducted 20 years ago and, using DNA techniques not available at the time, will attempt to discover taxonomic and evolutionary relationships in the genus.
