Objectif(s): to establish a small scale horticultural demonstration project in the Fort Smith Region; to assess horticultural variety testing and trials in conjunction with new methods of production; to increase the body of knowledge concerning horticulure in Canada's north

Description du projet: Mr. Gene Hachey and the NWT Farmers Association will be conducting research to enhance the knowledge base concerning horticultural production methods. Farmers from Fort Smith, Fort Simpson and Hay River will make sites available on their holdings to allow for evaluation of vegetable and berry varieties, production methods and associated testing.
