Objective(s): to continue the work began in Igloolik in May,1988;to characterize caribou antlers in relation to sex and age; to document the physical structure of antlers; to investigate the use of antlers; and to collect several pairs of antlers for testing techniques of fabrication and remaking objects
Project Description: Ms Herzog is continuing the work she began in Iqloolik in May, 1988. She is looking at the structure of caribou antlers and what people make from them. She may collect several sets of antlers to take back to Montreal for testing their use in cutting and shaping.
