Objective(s): to make underwater observations and to collect samples of benthic fish for later laboratory analysis; to determine food habits, growth rates, and fecundity of benthic fish; and, to determine the distribution and abundance of benthic fish in order to investigate their effect on the foraging behaviour and reproductive success of black guillemots and other sea birds.

Project Description: Dr. Green will be sampling benthic fish and observing their distribution and abundance in relation to their effect on the feeding habits and reproductive success of black guillemots and other sea birds. He will use the samples to determine growth rates, food habits, and fecundity of the various benthic species.
