Objective(s): The study will involve the continuous monitoring of one high elevation permanent snowpatch and adjacent snow-free areas to assess thier role in habitat selection in woodland caribou. Animal observation will supplement this data in order to accept or reject existing hypotheses on the role of rival environments to ungulates.
