Objective(s): To carry on with the establishment of a series of permafrost observatories in the NWT to provide a cross section of permafrost conditions, through wihch to conduct long term reserch on permafrost characteristics, permafrost stability, permafrost climate interaction and its response to man induced and natural disturbances, at which to evaluate new tools to determine the properties of permafrost.
