Objective(s): To carry out phase I of a bathymetric survey system. A tower will be built on the ice and a rifle (460 cal Weaterby) mounted on it. The rifle will be discharged into the ice and measurements made to determine the amount of sound transmitted to the water, the level of bottom echo detected in air etc.
