Project Description: This licence has been issued for the scientific research application No. 6066. The objective is to collect environmental data to monitor the rehabilitation of Snap Lake Mine. Methods are outlined in the management and monitoring plans (aquatic effects, water management, wildlife, vegetation, air quality and emissions, hydrology) that have been approved under the water license (MV2019L2-0004), land use permit (MV2024D0029), and the Environmental Agreement. The current versions of these management and monitoring plans have been appended to this application. Through this project, the monitoring team will collect data on the aquatic environment including benthos, plankton, sediment, water and fish; and on the terrestrial environment including air quality, vegetation, and wildlife. Monitoring is conducted by foot, ATV, boats, and helicopter. Updates ad results are communication to NWT stakeholders and community organizations are per the approved Engagement Plan (under water licence MV2019L2-0004). The fieldwork for this study will be conducted from: January 07 - December 31, 2025
