Project Description: This licence has been issued for the scientific research application No.4996. The aim of this study is to provide insight into Aurora College nursing students’ experiences in northern Norway. The research question is: What is the lived educational experience of Canadian nursing students in northern Norway? In order to answer the research question, photovoice - a qualitative participatory action research (PAR) methodology - will be used whereby nursing student participants on exchange in in Norway will capture images from practice and also outside the practice environment. The photos will mobilize conversations about their educational experiences upon return home from abroad; interviews and a focus group will be conducted. In line with the PAR methodology of this study, participants will be asked for their ideas and involvement with dissemination of the study results; a collaborative working meeting post data collection/analysis will be arranged by the researcher to engage and mobilize participants for this purpose. This may include but is not limited to presentations and publication. The fieldwork for this study will be conducted from October 25, 2022 to December 31, 2022.
